Nevertheless, LibreOffice wont start again when a space is in the installation path. Do you have any other fix?

What is your full path. Keep in mind long paths will ALWAYS fail with this app no matter what.

I use many PortableApps on my own PC instead of installing them - however, with the path issues of LibreOffice Portable, I've stopped using the portable version on my personal PC, and switched to the normal install, which seems to work just fine. If you are using locally on your own PC, you really should just consider the non-portable version.
I still use LibreOffice Portable on my USB drive, installed as recommended here (which does not have spaces in the install path).

Nevertheless, no other portable app has problems using this path

If that's the case, and you are actually using the Windows system folder "My Documents", then that compounds the file-length issue.
If I'm not mistaken, the full path (in English) to that folder is
X:\Users\<Username>\My Documents, which would make the path even longer than you have listed.
LibreOffice Portable has a known problem using longer file paths, and this path would definitely be too long.
If, however, your "Eigene Dateien" is a folder you created (not a system folder), then you should be able to change the folder name to "Eigene_Dateien" and you will know if the space is the issue - although I suspect that you would still have too long of a path.

OK, you are right, when I replace "Eigene Dateien" with a "Eigene_Dateien" then it neither works. So its not the space providing the problem but the long path name.
Nevertheless, the portable version 3.4 (or was it 3.3.x - I have to double check) worked pretty fine for me.
The exact length of the path supported by each release of LibreOffice and OpenOffice.org varies as the paths contained in the app itself vary. The reason for the issue with these apps (and only these) is due to the extreme length of some of the paths within. Because of these, placing them in multiple sub-directories makes the paths even longer eventually overloading the app's ability to process them.

Unfortunately I dont know any more which version worked. Is it possible to download old releases of the app?
Is the problem also forwarded to the OO-Developers?
When I transform an installation version to a portable version with the above linked method I dont get any problems with the path. Iam wondering why.

only sure way to make it work would be in X:\PortableApps\LibreOfficePortable
If I remember right this path issue goes back to staroffice days & existed in openoffice portable as well
I've been using PortableApps since the beginning, and for a long time I thought that I could install them anywhere, in any folder, no matter how many subfolders deep it was. For a brief period, I even thought that they were the future of ALL installations, and that the old non-portable method of installing apps would become obsolete.
The reality is that that's not true.
PortableApps work great as long as you install them in the recommended manner. That means that they get installed to X:\PortableApps\. LibreOffice is the app that is most dependent on this.
If you want to use LibreOffice Portable, and you want to use the best latest version of it, it needs to be installed in X:\PortableApps\.
Period.

As discussed previously, this is not a portable software issue and it does not affect other apps. It is an issue solely with LibreOffice/OpenOffice.org due to path length and the way the app handles it. Everything else works as you want from wherever you want. Trying to make an internal issue with one app into a broad issue with portable software is a bit silly.
That said, I'm working on yet another attempt at getting LO to work in longer paths.
