[Fixed] Foxit Reader Portable 5.3.0

I just updated to Foxit Reader 5.3.0 and every time I launch it, there is a message box saying something about serial number and some addin not being loaded. And it even asked me to register, but only on first launch. Is it possible to get rid of this message box on every app start?

Reinstall

Reinstall it clean by deleting the directory first.

Thanks, it worked. But I had to reconfigure application from scratch. I hope next time installer will make all required cleanups during update.

Add-Ons?

Had you added anything like plugins to the app? That would likely be the culprit.

Confirmed

I can confirm this issue. I tried a clean non-platform install to a new directory, and winmerge tells me that the following files are not installed on a new install:
App\Foxit Reader\plugins\AdrmsPluginDll.fpi
&
App\Foxit Reader\plugins\FoxitReaderOCX.ocx

Note that I had not previously installed these plugins manually, they must have been included by the app itself in a previous iteration.

Should be just a quick installer.ini or PortableApps.comInstallerCustom.nsh fix

Fixed

This is fixed in 5.3.0 Rev 2. Any users experiencing the issue in 5.3.0 can upgrade to Rev 2 and your settings will be preserved. Some users may find toolbar configurations a bit wonky but this is due to Foxit itself changing the way it handles settings.
