Songbird vs VLC

I'm just wondering, is VLC better for music? I seem to like that over Songbird.

Both play music fine. VLC has

Both play music fine. VLC has better compatibility and is more lightweight, but Songbird is your choice if you want Library based playback.

They have different objectives

VLC is great, it's an all-purpose media player, so it plays music just fine. But it's not loaded with bells and whistles.

Songbird is dedicated to music, and has a lot of added features that many people want, such as the ability to connect to internet radio stations, advanced playlist control, metadata control, album art, etc.

Personally, I prefer Clementine, which is similar to Songbird, but I think it handles files better. However, it is not yet an official PortableApp.

I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.
