Orwell Dev-C++

we all know DevC++
This is the main site of the 2011 Dev-C++ fork
Dev-C++ is stand by itself.
people want only to code without any GUI,
it more simple for them to use Dev-C++.

and it also portable:

i wish it was in portableapps.com format.

I use this dev-Cpp (this is the only one that works for me at win7 64bit).
if you can make this portableapps.com version i will be glad.

Tal.

I already told you.

I said I would do this. The reason it has not been released yet is the fact I am currently having issues with wxDev-C++ Portable. Since it will use pretty much the exact (or nearly exact) same launcher .ini, I'll need to fix wxDev-C++ Portable first.

Problems? Mail me!

I was just lurking around this little place on the internet trying to find out how to make a paf file of my project, but guess what, people are already, sort of, doing it for me. Wonderful!

Anyway, hi, I'm the developer of that fork. If you've got any problems or questions, don't hesitate to email me! My email address can be found here:

I'm a bit hesitant to put my email address here you see.

Hello.

I am the developer who left a comment on one of your posts on your blog. Turns out, the issue I am having with wxDev-C++ does not exist (so far in my testing) with your fork. I am currently having issues with the launcher* (an issue on my/our part, not yours), but I think I can have a development test up soon.

*I packaged it late at night when I was very tired, so if I have another look at it I might be able to figure it out. Either that, or I'll post in the forums here.

P.S. Would you be able to implement a data directory command line switch like wxDev-C++ uses? (-c "DATADIRECTORY"). This would allow me to set the data directory on launch instead of having to move it with the launcher. We define a data directory within the portable app so that it can be backed up properly, etc.

Thank you.

Apologies for replying so late, but to get to the point:

The -c switch should still be available. Actually, I'm using it too for my own portable versions. You should check the source code for the portable launcher (sourcezip\source\Other Tools\DevCppPortable).

But ehm, would you mind emailing me? It'd make this conversation a whole lot handier.
