Symantec flags portableapps.com as a fraudulent site

I generally access the website using IE. I used Chrome Portable today and when the page was half loaded I got diverted to a new page without a URL that stated that a Norton/Symantec chrome-extension was blocking access because this is a known fraudulent site. I have sent an email to an address I found on the Symantec site, but it may not be the right one.

I tried the page in IE with no problem.

This may be the extension that pulled the trigger:
Norton Identity Protection 2012.5.4.6
Symantec Corporation

Here's the text of the page:

Fraudulent Web Page Blocked

You attempted to access:
https://portableapps.com/

This web page is a known fraudulent web page. It is recommended that you do NOT visit this page.

For your protection, this web page has been blocked. Visit Symantec to learn more about phishing and internet security.

Exit this site
Continue to web page anyway

That's just the establishment

That's just the establishment attempting to maintain the status quo, i.e. that portable applications are "different" and thus may or may not be bad.

Please Let Us Know

Please let us know if you hear back and when they fix their issue. There's nothing wrong with the site, of course. And it scans clean with all major detectors. If Norton offers any other way of reporting a false positive, please let me know as well. Thanks!

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Update

I have not heard anything back from Symantec. I did try portableapps.com again today on Google Chrome Portable and the problem did not recur.

I will let you know if I hear anything from Symantec.
