Predetermined client Thunderbird Portable
I am tired windows asking me for Microsoft Outlook to send the message.
How can I configure really the TB client as email sender by default.

install full version of Thunderbird and then when asked tick the box default mail client.
Do not do it with portable version as this can have unpredictable results.
There are ways of doing it, but they mostly will break the portability and may confuse your windows as well.

One nice and safe trick I use:
- My home and office computers both have Thunderbird (desktop version) installed and defined as the default e-mail software.
- I use Thunderbird Portable. If Thunderbird Portable is already started, Firefox (or even Chrome) sends the e-mail link to the defined e-mail software (Thunderbird). Since I have already started Thunderbird Portable, the new e-mail is indeed generated with Thunderbird Portable.
Ditto for Firefox Portable vs Firefox (desktop edition).
It's a nice roundabout trick that works with many (most?) portable applications.
