Request for Portable CD Ripper app: Grip

I find myself often wanting to rip a CD into MP3 format and the machine that I am at only has iTunes or Windows Media Player, both of which I don't trust to rip CDs well (nor in a useful format).

If Grip can run as a Portable App (using Lame for MP3s and Vorbis for oggs) and save the resulting mp3 files onto the root of the Portable Device, life would be grand!

I think EAC requires no

I think EAC requires no installation, therefore it can be considered portable.

Let me help you...

...help yourself.

1. Read https://portableapps.com/forums/guidelines
2. Post a link to the program you are considering.
3. Post a description of the program.

Nah, try CDex, dude...

Meh, why bother?... Life is already plenty "grand" simply by using CDex (http://sourceforge.net/projects/cdexos/)

It's fairly portable as is - just copy the installation directory to your CD/flashdrive and go to town
(of course, you need to change some settings beforehand, esp. where it saves the audio it rips...)

Just Installed

I just installed EAC just to see if I could do it. It starts up fine but it seems to have the setting from the hard drive installed version. That's not bad but I need to open PortApps on a PC that doesn't have EAC on the hard drive so that I could check the settings properly. I could also change that Lame directory.
