Although I don't doubt that you have permission from the author, we do need proof of it in some way, as anyone can say they have permission, but without something in writing (such as a copy of an email or forum post giving permission), we have no way to verify.

The author's permission is linked into the help page of the portable app (copy of an email thread). It also can be found in the Other/Help folder in the file Author's Permission.htm.
After reading this thread, I went over to MiTeC.cz for a look. Almost all of their downloads are marked as freeware for private and commercial use. Just a few are marked as shareware. And they have some interesting apps available. All the ones I looked at are packaged as .zip files with a .dll and an executable so they don't have to be installed. If anyone doesn't have enough on their plate for the new year, the forensic apps would be particularly nice to have in .paf format.
