[Fixed] AIMP association problem

Hi,

I install AIMP stable portable release today. I have problem about association of it.

First -> It does not show the icon of AIMP on the associated file types (But it is properly runs with it when I click two times on the song file)

Second -> I can not open any sound file with AIMP second time. I mean if I am listening Mozrats's song at the moment with AIMP, I can not open any other song with AIMP by clicking the song file two times. But if I drag-drop the file up on AIMP, the song starts.

Please fix them :/

And thanks for making AIMP portable. It is faster than other madia players and more featured than CoolPlayer which is fast too.

First, setting a file association within AIMP Portable is not supported as it is not portable. That's using AIMP's internal file association and will associate it with AIMP itself, not the portable launcher. If you're manually associating it with the portable launcher, it's up to whatever tool you use to associate to set the icon.

Second, that's a bug with the releases. Open up the file App\AppInfo\Launcher\AIMPPortable.ini and delete the line that says SinglePortableAppInstance=true

Dear John I am using

Dear John

I am using PortableFileAssociator to associate the filetypes on system. I am not using the internal associator which is inside on application's settings.

Now I update the AIMP. Now the second problem solved. But I am still facing the first problem.

I need to write also I am not setting any different icon for any filetype. All my other files (which I have associate them with PortableFileAssociator) have their own icons. Anyway I know I can set an icon from PortableFileAssociator. I just need to tell you. Because as default it should have an icon.

Thank you again.

PFA Issue

Any issue with icons would be a PFA issue, not an AIMP Portable issue, then. AIMP Portable is just an app with a standard PAL launcher. Unfortunately, it will likely not be addressed by PFA as it is not being updated at the moment. The point will be moot when file associations debut in the platform.
