Rename and not Display .exe

Hello,

fist i must say its a very nice program,
but i have 3-4 questions:
1. can i rename the Name of the Program in the menue?
2. if i have more .exe files (in one Folder) and wont not display all in the menue, what can i do?

i know this things are always discussed in the forum but for me it will be nice if it works

3. i want to create subfolders in the menue for better clearness.
and last (its not so important)
4. it will be nice if i can use batch files (perhaps change icons will be very nice).

thx a lot for the programm and your answer

michel

Say it with me

I'll be done when it's done.

I'll be done when it's done.

Also, I don't answer via email with something as simple as this.

Actually

GMail has good enough spam filtering. I just use CustomizeGoogle and get it to hide the amount of unread junk emails Blum

Should have read the email adress before checking!

Argh! I just saw an exposed email address and had to say it! As you say Ryan, Gmails spam filters are VERY good - it's only missed one email in over a year, and I haven't seen it can any real emails...

Batch Files

I agree - that would be nice.

What I did was buy exescript from http://www.hide-folder.com/download/ (though there are some free programs out there that convert batch files to exe files). Resource Hacker (http://rpi.net.au/~ajohnson/resourcehacker) does let you change icons for most exe files.

This allowed me to keep my task wiki in my documents, create a batch file to open portable firefox and load my task wiki, then turn that batch into an exe with the icon of my choice that will show up in the portable apps menu.

I also use a syncing program to sync my portable drive files with my hard drive on three computers. I did make three batch files for the different computers (which among other things assign different drive letters to my portable drive), then I realized the batch file could figure out the assigned drive letter and run the correct sync options by itself. This means I could also have it run a different menu when there are screen size differences (800x480 vs normal). There's a batch routine as well to force the portable drive to always get assigned the driveletter U, but I haven't played with this yet.

Now... I know there's some C and other people with more advanced scripting skills out there giggling at me... but this option only required the scripting skills I already knew.

Thus, batch file support would be nice, but if not, I can deal with it.
