2x client portable - won't remember the position of connections

dear community,

2x client portable is an awesome tool, but I see two problems:
1, I didn't find a way to force it to remember positions of the connections, I have like 50 of them and having all in one list is... very inconvenient
2, it doesn't close properly (throws "app wasn't closed properly the last time..." when you try to open it fresh)

did anyone figure out how to make it remember the positions of the connections? (in the list in Folder view)

Ask Publisher

As for ordering, you'll need to ask the publisher. But I'd wager it's due to it crashing. If you get the app wasn't closed message, that means it was still running in the background when you shut down your PC, effectively crashing it. When that happens, you likely lost any settings changes liker ordering you made.

yes, I thought so too...

yes, I thought so too... Sad
I'll ask the publisher then,

until then, as a "workaround", I use folders for organizing to remain sane,

thanks,

Close It

Do you close it properly by closing the systray icon well before shutting down the PC?

I've just tested it now, when

I've just tested it now, when I close it via it's own closing mechanism, File->Exit within the app, it seems to close properly. It is windows shutdown which causes it to crash everytime.

Anyhow, closing it that way or another didn't solve the problem with random placing of connections in Folder view... I re-arrange it, restart the app (correctly) and it's messed up again.

Shutdown = Crash

Windows shutdown crashes a rather large percentage of apps rather than properly closing them. Even apps like Firefox will crash with surprising frequency. Windows 8 makes this worse as it only gives apps a couple seconds to try and close and won't let them prevent a shutdown if they're doing something.

Save Your Data! Always close your apps before shutting down.
