PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format
LibreOffice Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Platform including the Menu and Backup Utility.

Automatic update error and "Libre Office running" errors
The automatic update of Libre Office reports an error and will not download more than about 18Megs. When I download the file manually and then run the "install Apps"" it tells me I already am running Libre Office somewhere and I am not.
soffice.exe
If you get the error, soffice.exe and soffice.bin are running on your system. That's the only way that error can come up.
If you got an error with the download, you may be pointing to a mirror with an incomplete copy. Any chance you can determine which one?
experiencing the same error
I am experiencing the same error with every USB-Stick, installation, and repeatedly. Avira Premium autorun blocking disabled.
New download from http://ftp.rz.tu-bs.de (Binary File 137 MB).
and http://ftp.wh2.tu-dresden.de
All the same message: to close running LO.
Peter.
(Vista Premium, all updates and SPs, locally installed LO up-to-date)
It Is Running
If you receive that message, then soffice.exe or soffice.bin is running on your PC. That's the ONLY way that messafe shows. You can run task manager and then click Show Processes From All Users to see it. It's not an error with the installer. It's purposely telling you to close LibreOffice and OpenOffice before installing.
On first attempting the
On first attempting the update I had an error but second attempt worked fine. Sorry, can't remember what the error was now.
Is this app now meant to be an incremental update as I had to d/l the full installation? Or is it just with certain updates that the IU feature will come into play?
Nope
Only same-version patches. As explained in the announcement thread, it would be pointless on new versions of apps as nearly every file is updated, meaning the patch file would be as large as the regular installer anyway. Difference patching of changes in EXEs and similar is not an option as it would be very slow on USB flash drives. Plus a lot of work to implement that I don't have time for at the moment.
Oh ok, sorry, my mistake!

Can't find appinfo.ini, but it's there
The last few versions of LibreOffice have failed to run for me, with the error message:
"PortableApps.com Launcher cannot be started. You may wish to re-install to fix this issue. (ERROR: J:\Portable Apps\LibreOffice\App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini could not be found)"
However, I have verified that the file is there. Reinstalling hasn't changed anything for me. Any other ideas?
Corruptions or Permissions
That usually indicates a corruption on the drive or a permissions issue (with NTFS).
