[Solved] PortableAppsPlatform.exe uses 100% of my CPU (version 1.11)

Hi,

I'm using the PAP in a network unit and since the update to 1.11 the PAP eats 100% of my CPU after launching. Note this did not happen before version 1.11.

Moving the whole PAP folder to the Desktop (or any not networked unit) would also solve this.

Is there any other workaround?

Thanks.

Autorun

Try disabling autorun detection. Windows' network drive handling is pretty awful, which is why several apps break on it.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Solved!

Great thanks!

For the ones that are not sure how to disable autorun protection you can do it the following way:

  1. Edit file \PortableApps\PortableApps.com\Data\PortableAppsMenu.ini
  2. Change the line AutoRun=True to AutoRun=False
  3. Restart the application
