Are you running Skype from the PortableApps platform?
If you are, all apps will run in the language the platform is set to (if possible). To turn this feature off open the platform -> Options -> uncheck "Use this language for all portable apps".
After that Skype portable should remember the language you change it to.

no , i installed the sandalone version
i don't have PortableApps platform
and it doesn't keep the language
i changed to english , saved preference close , run again and it's in my mother language
it does miss general settings visual style of windows

Skype does not allow you to save your language when in its portable mode. There is no workaround without losing the ability to save passwords.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

On the main page it is 6.0.0.125, but link leads to 6.0.0.120 !?

that's me too. english windows skype uses english language, hungarian windows skype uses default hungarian language. so there may do something! why don't check the localization?

I installed the normal version, worked without any problems, installed a portable to use that my parents, worked. I started my (not portable), all two are crashed............... and so on
