Tmp files inside "\FirefoxPortable" folder

Hi,

I am using 90% Chrome as browser. I very often use Firefox.

Firefox creates .tmp files inside its own root folder: "D:\PortableApps\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable" directory. The number of these .tmp files are multipying every time I saw them.

I try to remove them but they are re-creating themselves automatically.
I try to remove - install FirefoxPortable but it did not solve the problem.

I had the problem since 2 month, but I forgot to write here on the forums.

I make always the updates of PortableApps platform.

I use Windows 7 64 bit. My Windows is installed on C:\ drive. But PortableApps located on D:\ drive. I have the problem on my 3 machines. I just have installed FlashGot extension.

The files are 0 kb (empty). The dir command output is:

Thats the flash got extension. I have no idea how to stop it from doing that.

I think so... I am using Firefox without any extension and it does not creates tmp files since 3 days.

This is not big problem for end users. But I'm worried about the PortableApps.com format, if it has bug or something... I know FlashGot is third party program but it is also the Mozilla Featured, open source and one of the most stable extension. If FlashGot has a bug, that would be very nice for portableApps.com format.

We realize that, but if a problem is created by a third-party, all we can do is ask politely for their developer to fix it.

Here I'm trying to explain the problem:

Can someone please tell me, after which operation is creating the .tmp files?

Let's catch the operation and than the bug. If it is a bug of FlashGot they will fix it. But I'm worring about format of portableapps.com.

Not Us

Extensions should either be storing stuff in a unique subfolder of the profile directory that they create or in TEMP. We don't alter either of those locations nor in any way direct extensions to use the FirefoxPortable directory for anything. No other extension has this issue that I'm aware of.
