Just downloaded v12.10 and tried running Opera from under Program Files folder.
It throws a message "Opera portable cannot be run from inside C:\Program Files. This is for standard local software only."
V12 worked fine running from Program Files. I am still running v12 from a folder location under Program Files. This message started since v12.02. There should be no restriction to run from a folder inside Program Files.
Not sure I understand the desupport of this folder structure since v12.02. Is there any way to enable it?

A number of applications do not support being run portably when run from Program Files, so we have specifically removed support for doing so. There is no supported method for getting around this.
