Another instance is running

Hi,

LibreOffice can start with --invisible parameter (here is the manual: http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/natty/man1/libreoffice.1.html )

I start the D:\PortableApps\PortableApps\LibreOfficePortable\LibreOfficePortable.exe with --invisible parameter. I check from Task Manager of Windows, it is running properly. But if I open any of LibreOffice executable (Writer or Math or Calc or Base...), it gives this warning:

Another instance of LibreOffice is already running. Please close other instances of LibreOffice before launching LibreOffice Portable.

And LibreOffice does not starts.

That's not happening on the LibreOffice installed system. How can I solve the problem?

Thank you

Unsupported

--invisible starts an invisible process of LibreOffice that can only be interacted with via the API. It is separate from an instance of LibreOffice that can be actually used. It can then only be killed via Task Manager. You can either run that or LibreOffice Portable, but not both.

I apologize for giving you

I apologize for giving you wrong information. The same thing is happening on the LibreOffice installed machine.

As you write "--invisible"

As you write "--invisible" parameter makes LibreOffice to work with another (independed) instance. But this is true for "--invisible" parameter. For other many parameters the LibreOffice works with the same instance.

How did I understand that:

-On the LibreOffice installed machine:
I start the soffice.exe, after a while I start also a LibreOffice Writer. It opened very fast on the same window without any warnings.

-on LibreOffice Portable:
I start soffice.exe, after a while I start also a LibreOffice Writer but It gives me the same error which I was write on my first message.

I can test what is going on with LibreOffice installed machine. Same LibreOffice and same operation system version.

Is this a bug for portable LibreOffice?

Thank you

Never Start Directly

Never start soffice.exe directly in LOP. Use the launchers. It works just fine launching multiple windows of it.
