When I upgraded to the previous version (to 3.20.1155) I lost my AIMP's Hotkeys.
So I restored 3.20.1074.
When I upgraded this 3.20.1163 over my good 1074; all the hotkeys were lost again.

Is anyone else having this problem?

When I go into Hotkeys (Main menu - Hotkeys..., or Preferences - Player - Hotkeys), the table is Blank; I cannot start playing an MP3 by pressing the ENTER key, I must use mouse!

I had created some keykeys, and edited some existing hotkeys.

P.S. Three big cheers for the wonderful folks behind PortableApps.com

Sorry to hear that, ulfier. AIMP stores its hotkeys in the AIMP.ini file and we maintain that in the Data directory on each upgrade. Did you by any chance have a crash or shut Windows down/eject without exiting AIMP (which can crash it)? I just did a 1155 to 1163 upgrade and it worked as expected, preserving the custom hotkeys I created. And I checked our upgrade code and the AIMP.ini isn't being touched. The only thing I can think of is an upgrade after a crash/improper shutdown might have reset it to the defaults.

Could you please give it a shot of exiting and then upgrading in place (reinstalling the current version over it) after backing up your Data just to be safe to see if that works properly? If it happens again, please post a new post in the Other Apps support forum with the title beginning with [Bug] so we can track this and get it sorted out for you.

Thanks John,
Doing a upgrade-in-place over my working customized 3.20.1074 AIMP still results in loss of all Hotkeys...

...Since nobody else seems to be having this problem, it must be something I did.
(I did a lot of heavy customizing when I first installed AIMP. I must have edited a setting file [playlist file, or setting the button Color] within the wrong folder -- because I lost my settings then too. Oops.)

I will do a Fresh/Clean install, and things should be fixed from here on.

Could you try a fresh install and then add your Data directory from the old version? And then, from there, update your hotkeys using AIMP's internal hotkey editor, perhaps starting by clicking the Default key if they're blank (oddly, they seem to be blank by default). And then exit AIMP and be sure it is fully closed. Follow that by an in-place upgrade. Hopefully, that will preserve things without you needing to rebuild all your settings. I'd like to help you preserve as much as possible.

Thank you greatly for your help John. That worked, and saved me alot of time.

[Did EXACTLY as you said: Clean install of latest 1163, copied AIMP/Data from good/old to fresh. This restored everything (skin, skin color, display string settings, playlists, radio stations) but Hotkeys editor showed blank, and indeed no hot keys worked (eg, ENTER to start playing don't work). So, as suggested, went into Hotkeys and pressed "default" button, this populated the Hotkey table, and now ENTER works to start playing a file. Then to Test, did the in-place upgrade of 1163, and everything remained super duper. Happy happy.]
