Common Files

I was wondering if it's in any way 'unsafe' to keep files here. For example I use Audacity and keep the Lame/FFMPEG files here. But also it's a convenient place to keep other stuff like Sounds for certain apps like KkMenu, as well as Roms and VST collections. Rather than keep them in the Documents folder where they aren't ever really needed to be accessed directly puts them 'in the way.'

Currently I've created a directory called - Common Files - but would rather use the existing one if it's ok to do so.

Thanks

Don't take offense...

I think the reason that people didn't respond is because it's somewhat common-sense. As long as you don't store it in one of the folders like "Java" that are created by plugins that install to CommonFiles, then they shouldn't be affected by application or platform updates. Since what you're talking about is pretty auxiliary stuff, you shouldn't have to worry.
