Some time ago i asked to Mediafour if this was a MacDrive problem, and it seems to be like that. Here is the link: http://forums.mediafour.com/forums/macdrive-9-pro-1/cant-install-extensi...
The administrator says that some executables need elevated permissions to run, and the only way to get them is using a Windows file system.
I also tried installing the platform on another more popular File System, so i used EXT4. The problem persist.
The main problem is that if i use a Windows file system (Fat32, NTFS, exFAT) all is extremely slow, you can't use any app with that speed. My memory has a write speed of around 4.8 MB/s (Kingston MicroSD Memory class 4).
Trying with HFS and EXT, speed is more acceptable, but functionality is limited because i can't uninstall any portable app and they can't write on the memory.
Is there something that PortableApps developers can do to solve this problem? I know that this may not be a platform (or apps) specific problem, but if you can solve it, it would be really helpful.
Windows apps need Windows file systems. There is no other way to use them.
I'd wager the other file systems you're attempting to use are doing write caching which makes them appear faster. It is harder to set FAT, NTFS or ExFAT to write cache a removable drive (Windows purposely makes it hard). Your card is Class 4 which is rather slow (1/5th the speed or a proper flash drive on USB2). That 4.8MB/s is also kind of a fake number. It only applies to large files written all at once. It doesn't apply to lots of little reads and writes all over the drive (which is what portable software does). A better option would be to use a Class 10 card (pretty cheap these days) and ensure your reader/writer is up to the task of using it.

You're right. My memory is too slow.
Have you tested the speed of a Kingston DT101G2 or DTC10? I'm asking this because it appears to be the perfect combination between price and speed on my city. The main page says that its read speed is 10 MB/s and its write speed is 5 MB/s. I want to know if i can increase a little that write speed to 9, 10 or 12 MB/s changing the file system to exFAT, it appears to be the faster file system for windows, at least on external drives.
I would like to buy a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, but i'm not in a very good economic situation
Anyway, thanks for your help and time!
I just dropped you an email with an option.
