I don't suppose since we are getting hosted Developer pages, we might get some moderators on the forums *hint hint*

I do not want to be a moderator. I do want to thank the fellow who developed Postable Apps, and also thank the people who created and maintain this Forum. When USB came about, I thought it was the best thing to come to computers since CP/M!!! Being able to get rid of parallel and seriel cables was great! Then, being able to carry around a couple of gigs on my keychain was a miracle. Portable Apps means I can do a lamprey on the shark of any one else's computer and run applications, pick up my mail and not worry about buying a Vaio. PortableApps is the greatest thing to hit computers since the laptop!!! Thanks!
That's nice, but has nothing to do with the discussion...

It would be great to host our own pages (username.portableapps.com) here, but the webmaster need to know php, be able to have sub domain names, and pay the bill on the server. All im saying is that it would be a lot of work.

That's not going to happen.
If you want hosting, there are plenty of sites around which can do that.

Well I can host as soon as I get a new reseller for wmpro.info. As thats my web hosting business. I was thinking of maybe making a section for app developers to get hosting for free there but that won't happen until I buy the new reseller though

I use (and recommend) Jumba, but they're an Australian hosting service.
I do know that they have great customer service via live chat, phone and SMS (only ones I have used) and all the problems I have had were my fault

Well, why do you think app developers need a free web hosting from you? So many free web hosts are there. Anyway, for development purposes no need much disk space and bandwidth, so you may go with a free web hosting too with your paid domain name, and you can give out place for developers. There are free web hosts with no ads, if you can limit your bandwidth.
