I asked for permission to try this several weeks ago. As of yet, I have not heard back. Until they do give permission, I don't believe anyone can do this app.

One other issue affecting portability is that when running in the system tray, there was no option to exit the app. You could 'stop' the engine, but the system tray app stayed running no matter what. I ditched it as a result.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
There's a load of services running too. I can't even install it in Sandboxie cause of the services.

Their terms and conditions only allow you to make one copy of the software for backup purposes only. No modifications allowed anywhere in the license.
"This License allows you to install and use the Bluestacks Software. The Bluestacks Software may be used to copy and/or install and run Android apps, which you are authorized or legally permitted to copy and install, from your mobile Android device to your personal computer. You may make one copy of the Bluestacks Software in machine-readable form for backup purposes only, provided that the backup copy must include all copyright or other proprietary notices contained on the original. Except as and only to the extent expressly permitted in this License or by applicable law, you may not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of the Bluestacks Software or any part thereof." It's probably not worth it anyway. On the same page it's clear they log a lot of data on their users.

In my comment above from December of 2012, I stated that I had asked for permission. To date, there has been no response. I can only conclude that they are not interested in granting permission. Too bad...

Any modification of the software would be a breach of the licence terms quoted above, so you are not permitted to attempt to make the program portable. Anyone giving you guidance might also leave themselves open to legal action under the terms of the licence.

I'd Really like to have a Portable Version of BlueStacks - but with Standalone OFFLINE Installer or SFX or a Simple Archive File.
