Launcher splash screen filetype

Hello!

Does the Launcher also support other image filetypes than JPG?
It seems that NewAdvSplash works also with GIF and BMP images, but is this also possible with the Portableapps Launcher? (I already tried it, but without success.)

I think it's possible

But then you'll need to change the splash's filename in the launcher's code. Also, I don't think doing that would allow it to be considered for official release.

Ok, thanks. I didn't knew

Ok, thanks.
I didn't knew that the launcher looks only for a splash.jpg file. I thought, maybe it accepts also splash.gif. (Was too lazy to look inside the source code), so the only way would be a "custom" laucher.

(It would be nice if future versions of the launcher may also accept gif splash screens.)

The Launcher splash isn't

The Launcher splash isn't really meant for end-user or even developer modification. The basic dev test splash should be used for development tests so users do not confuse it for an official app, and apps that do make it to official will be given a proper splash at that time.

I know.

I know. Because of that I'm not using the splash screen with the "official" design, but a fancy custom one which looks completely different (or just none, which might be the easiest way)
