First, thanks for providing this app in portableapps format!
In testing this app, I noticed that the preference files, log files, and extensions are (by default) kept in my windows user profile folder (on XP, C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Application Data\keepnote). These can be accessed from the app, using Help > View Preference Files...
It would be much better if they were kept in the portable app folder.

KeepNote provides no means to point to a different preferences location like other apps do (via command line, INI setting or environment variable), so its preferences are moved to the local machine when it is started and back when it is exited. As long as you exit properly, they will be removed from the local machine when you're done and any settings that were there from a local version of the app are restored.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
