Acrobat Pro 7.0

Hi,

Adobe has disabled the activation server for CS2 products, including Acrobat 7, because of a technical issue.

Official link:
http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html

There is no an app which can edit pdf files. There are many apps which can convert doc, docx, odt (and other...) files to pdf fromat. But there is no ann app which can convert pdf files to word (odt, doc, docx...) properly. I research many hours... The only safe way to change pdf files, is Acrobat Pro. It would be great if you can make it portable.

Thank you

Illegal

They deactivated the servers, but it is still illegal for you to use the software without paying for a license. Adobe has confirmed this in multiple statements on their site and to the press. Repackaging it outside of their installer is also illegal.

Jusk asking

Did they enforce this in an EULA?
After all, that page contains both the download links and the serials, and it's open to the public.

Same EULA

The EULA is unchanged. It's still commercial software you have to pay to use. Just because a door is unlocked doesn't mean you're allowed to go in and take things Smile

But they left the key on the door!
Oh wait, I see what they are trying to do.

Commercial

Lots of commercial software has no DRM built into it. That doesn't make it legal to steal it. Same as the situation here.

What they did was mistakenly

What they did was mistakenly give easy access to what really should have been only to users of the software who had it registered to their account.

But given the popularity and attention it received, perhaps Adobe have come unofficially to the conclusion that an old version would do no harm and would maybe even offer a safe alternative to other questionable sources.

Now whether they really take this on and realise that substantially discounted or free versions of outdated software could be a marketing opportunity is down to them.

They are disabling more for cost rather than technical reasons, since that is no longer being sold but still costing money to "support" upon re-installs.

The removal of the check and any further "calling-home" is what they these versions feature.

If at first you do not succeed, use more sticky tape.

LibreOffice Draw can open pdf

LibreOffice Draw can open pdf files which can then be saved as .odg files, or exported to a number of image formats or html.

Oh! Thats a great solution Smile LibreOffice works hgreat with it. It can not save the file on other formats (html, doc, docx... it can save just odg, sxd...) but I can copy all text and images, and paste them to writer. It is little bit long but it works. Thank you Smile

If you click save in

If you click save in LibreOffice Draw, it only gives you .odg plus a couple of other formats. If instead you click Export, you are able to export to html as well as quite a few image formats.
