Mednafen 0.8.D Portable & Mednafenfe 0.1.6 Portable Development Test 3

Application: Mednafen and Mednafenfe
Category: Games
Description: Mednafen is a portable, open source, multi system emulator utilizing OpenGL and SDL arguments(command-line) with many advanced features. Mednafenfe is a simple, open source GTK+ frontend and launcher for mednafen, written in python.

Download Mednafen 0.8.D Portable & Mednafenfe 0.1.6 Portable Development Test 3
[8.05 MB download / 28.2 MB installed]
(MD5: B3758E2BBE323D2D917B86CFD7CCA09C )

Notes: Mednafen and Mednafenfe are both included in this package. Since Mednafen is just a command-line application, Mednafenfe (Mednafen's graphical FrontEnd) is launched instead. Mednafenfe can be used to launch Mednafen with a game's ROM.
Due to the way Mednafenfe is written, a command-line window will be opened in the background while Mednafenfe is running. To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to avoid this. (Yes, I tried PAL's HideCommandLineWindow=true, but that hid Mednafenfe as well as its command-line window.)

Release Notes:
Mednafen 0.8.D & Mednafenfe 0.1.6, Development Test 3 (2013-10-04): Removed unnecessary folder and updated appinfo.ini

Mednafen 0.8.D & Mednafenfe 0.1.6, Development Test 2 (2013-02-04): Revised Release

I did not put all this together myself. Credit goes to: the Mednafen Team for producing Mednafen, monkeesage for making Mednafen Front End, and computerfreaker for putting the portable package together, as well almost all of the description on this page. In order to try to get this approved, I only altered what needed to be. This is the same as the Development Test 1 with just a few minor alterations described in more detail in the original topic here: https://portableapps.com/node/23960 .

So...

Why did you post this in Portable App Development? Apps to be tested should be posted over in beta testing. Also, to be fair to the person who packaged it originally, is there any way you could have suggested changes on their page instead of packaging it yourself? It may cut down on unnecessary copies of the same program. I just noticed Gord's comment on the original. So disregard the crossed out text.

Repackage

I repackaged the self extracting archive using the PortableApps.com Installer. The download link on this page has been updated.
