PicPIck not updating

I have PicPick installed from the PortableApps launcher, but even though the PortableApps website shows the latest version, the updater does not show the newer version.

There a reason for this?

Thanks!

Works for me

No problems here, the updater shows the latest version (3.2.2) consistently and installs it properly.

Are you sure you don't already have 3.2.2 installed?

EDIT: Is it installed to the default location under the Platform? If you have renamed the directory it will be ignored by the Updater.

Looks right to me...

Here's confirmation on the version and that the updater is showing its already been installed:

This also isnt the first time I've had this problem. I've had PicPick installed for several months and dont recall the updater ever detecting a newer version to install. I've always had to uninstall and reinstall (which always does install the latest version).

All other PortableApps update without issue.

Anything else you can think of that would cause this?

Thanks!

New installation

Due to your second screenshot you have installed version 3.2.1 of PicPick. Accordingly will offered in the Portable App Directory the download of the actual version 3.2.2 (first screenshot).

I recommend you to remove completely your existing installation of PicPick and afterwards you should download and install the actual version of PicPick.

The problem is thats what

The problem is thats what I've had to do every single time theres an update, which is not extremely convenient. Was really hoping to get to the bottom of why this sole application is not picked up by the updater to automate this process.

Removing the app

Have you already tried to remove the complete folder PicPickPortable within the folder PortableApps? And then you should perform a new installation via the Portable App Directory.

I've used the uninstall from the PA menu which removes the folder entirely.

more informations

Ok you have performed the uninstall via the PA.com menu. For safety reasons, you should still look into the PortableApps folder if everything really has been removed. What appears after reinstalling of PicPick in the Portable App Directory? Ordinarily, the program PicPick should not further be displayed in Portable App Directory. And what can you now report?

Installation of an older version of PicPick

Assuming you have not installed the current version of PicPick (currently it is version 3.2.2), i.e. you have therefore installed an older version (eg version 3.2.1). Only in such a case will appear in the Portable App Directory a new version of PicPick. By implication, this means that if you have already installed the latest version of PicPick, then the program PicPick no longer will appears in Portable App Directory.
