I use portable apps on multiple usb drive or networks, i dont like having to install the program i want onto every one when i want it. does any one know of a way to sync the portableapps.com platform with different usb drives automatically

Most folks who need to use it on multiple PCs (example: desktop, laptop, work PC) will install it locally inside their cloud drive (DropBox, Google Drive, Box, SkyDrive, etc) and let it sync between PCs. This won't work with a USB drive, though, as there are no good portable versions of the sync software. We're working to remedy this, though.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
thanks, its too bad you cant sync without a cloud drive because i have to use computers that i do not have administrator privileges on.

quite a good sync tool with open source, but requires an own FTP server

I am using the Synkron Portable and it works OK
with allwaysync I had problems, only the installed version can be paid and have unlimited functions.
The portable one has limits, not so useful for sync of an usb stick of 16GB for example.
