VLC and font cache

Would it be possible to "portablize" the %APPDATA%\vlc folder? One of its uses is to store a font cache, however, because it is deleted upon exit, VLC Portable always has to recreate the font cache when its started. This is rather inconvenient.

It Does

It copies back any *.cache-3 files that VLC creates and preserves them within VLCPortable\Data\settings for next run. Unless VLC randomly changed their font cache yet again.

Note that the font cache files are PC-specific, so they will need to be regenerated on each new PC. Subtitles are now off by default, so the font cache is normally never even generated unless you turn them on.

Thanks for the reply. BTW do

Thanks for the reply. BTW do you know if its possible to have subtitles enabled but prevent VLC from having to create the font cache?

I tried setting VLC to use the dummy font renderer to no avail.

Required

I think the font cache is required to use subtitles. That's actually its only purpose, subtitles.
