Hello,
we would like to use LibreOffice in a CITRIX environment. Right now the second user can't start LibreOffice because of the .lock file.
For several reasons we would prefer using the portable edition versus the 'normal' one.
Is there a way of setting the path to the LibreOffice settings (DataDir) depending on the windows user?
I guess this would solve the CITRIY multi user issue.
Has anybody experiences with LibreOffice portable on CITRIX?

By default, it's designed to be run by a single user. Generally, it is better to use the local version for CITRIX type setups as that will use APPDATA for each user using it. Is there some reason the portable version is better for your setup?

For using LibreOffice the user has to fill in (or ignore) a registration form. We use LibreOffice programmatically (API) to create documents. And during our installation process we meet the requirements regarding registration once and everything is fine: no further user interaction with LibreOffice is required.
So is there is a way of suppressing the registration form at first? That would solve our issue, too.

This sounds like a reference to the first run dialog of OpenOffice.org if memory serves me right (granted I haven't used OOo since LibreOffice was forked off)
This is exactly the dialog I referred to.
Due to the question "which dialog do you refer to" I just checked LibreOffice: this dialog has vanished.
So my problem has vanished, too. I will switch to the normal installation and everything should be fine.
Thanks for pushing me into the right direction. And yes, I feel a little sorry for posting without verifying first.

Using LibreOffice via API would bypass the portable launcher and break portability.
You would be better off with a full install than attempting to use the portable version in a way it can't handle.
