LibreOffice 4.0.1 failing to start

Hello everyone, I hope you can help.

Libreoffice just fails to start. No message or error screen. If I have task manager open, I see Libreoffice start and then close within seconds.

It seems to be the issue that others had with a previous version. I've looked and have those .dll's that were missing then.

Any ideas?

cheers

Run Directly

If you run soffice.exe directly within the LibreOfficePortable\Apps\LibreOffice\bin directory, it will start LibreOffice in local mode and show any error messages. This will tell you what's wrong. Note that this will write config files locally.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Can't find it.

Within my bin directory, there is no soffice.exe file. I found the application file within the the program directory. When I run that (with task manager open) I can see the libreoffice portable open and begin, then after a few seconds it closes again. I'm not getting any error messages. It's the same when I start the program directly from the portableapps platform.

I've tried re-installing the libreoffice program, via the app, but it's the same. What can I do? Is there a known problem with this?

I saw from previous posts that others had similar problems with previous versions. I'm running windows 7 on a new pc, but need the portable version of Impress for a work presentation.

Hope you can help.
