I haven't checked yet, but they may have switched language handling in 6.0. I know they haven't released any language packs since 5.0, so they may be incompatible.

I installed Foxit Reader locally. Then tried it in local application. It's the same. I guess language files haven't released yet.

We included the language files with the portable version. But they're the ones from 5.0. Usually, they continue to work in Foxit even though they aren't updated. But 6.0 is a major change from 5.0 (new UI, new features, etc) so that may not be the case any longer.

The app itself switches from saving settings in one place to another, so settings don't seem to be preserved. Making a backup won't help with that. We maintain both copies in the portable version in the hope that a later release allows you to choose.
