Environment variables

Hi,

I have got a question about ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES:

Is it possible to add an environment variable to an (existing) portable app using something as an INI file.

I need to setup such a variable to enable the Pidgin(Portable) to work with the sipe plugin (so it can work with Lync/OCS)!

(please check my post in the Pidgin forum, and please forgive for this "crosspost")

Check out the section in the

Check out the section in the PortableApps.com Launcher Manual on Environment Variables.

https://portableapps.com/manuals/PortableApps.comLauncher/ref/envsub.htm...

Note: I apologize for just saying "here's the fdfdfee manual", but I'm tight on time. I think it'll be better if you read it and ask questions in a reply. Good luck Smile

Thanks for your reply

Thanks for your reply Gluxon,

It didn't solve my issue for Pidgin and SIPE (OCS/Lync)
I am still struggling with it, trying to find out why it's not working in PortableApps!

But still good info, which i can use!

pidgen dosn't use the PAL

pidgen dosn't use the PAL launcher you have to edit PidginPortableU.nsi from Other\Source and run it through nsis portable to rebuild the custom launcher with your changes. don't know what to do to do what you want tho, sory.
