Release Notes:
1.6.1 Development Test 1 (2013-08-13):
- Base app updated
- Removed registry handling from launcher.ini as Qt5 doesn't write to the registry as far as I can see
1.5.0 Development Test 1 (2013-05-28):
- Base app updated
- Added installer.ini listing languages supported by the app (language switching still not possible with PAL)
- Tested and verified usage from UNC paths
- Modified path handling for UNC compatibility
- settings.ini moved from Data\settings\ to Data\
- Updated to latest format spec
1.4.1 Development Test 1 (2012-01-18): Initial release
Please Note:
- Due to the developer implementing multilingual support in a way which the PortableApps.com Launcher cannot yet handle language switching with the Platform has not been implemented. To run in a language other than English start Caesium Portable, go to Tools->Settings->Language, pick your language, then Exit and re-open the app. Your language settings will be saved for future use. The languages available are: French, Italian, German, Greek, Korean, Swedish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.
Language switching -would- be a piece of cake, however, the app publisher has set up their language files in a really odd way. As a result, the language switching can't be done at this time.
Trust me to pick the one app out of the 40ish that I'm looking at doing that the launcher can't handle yet...
For now at least, anyone looking for multilingual support in Caesium will have to start it in English, go to Tools->Settings->Language, pick the one you want, then exit and restart the app. Your language setting will then be saved.
App updated to 1.5.0, template updated to 3.0 format spec and a few minor changes to portability.
Does this make any changes to the registry or write to any place on the computer beside its own folder?
The app automatically writes entries to the registry because it is built with the Qt framework, but these are removed by the Launcher on exiting the app.
No files/folders are created or modified outside of the portable package, except for the images you manipulate with it.
Plus removed registry handling for Qt keys as Qt5 doesn't create them.
