Having trouble installing PortableApps on any USB stick

Hey all:

First time poster and I enjoy PortableApps and love the work that has been done to make it easy to install and transport your most used apps. That said, I am having trouble installing PortableApps on some USB drives that I own. Their sizes are 1GB, 4GB, and 32GB. They are all formatted to NTFS. This is the message I get when trying to install:

The device you have selected to install to does not have enough free space for this app."

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the support.

Platform or Apps

Are you trying to install the platform or a specific app (and if so, which one so we can determine which version of the PA.c Installer is having issues)? Also, as you sure the PC has a properly defined TEMP directory, with proper permissions, and has free space?

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I am trying to install the

I am trying to install the platform. The TEMP directory could be a problem since I am using Windows 8 and having access to certain directories to becoming a nuisance as of late.

NTFS Permissions

NTFS is problematic on Windows Vista, Seven and likely Eight too.
Check to see that the drive(s) has (have) Security Permissions set to give "Everyone" "Full Control", elsewise the OS'll asume it's not allowed to write to it and the installer will see no writable space which it (usually correctly) assumes means the disk is full.
