Hello all!
I've finished some pretty major updates to EraserDrop:
- updated Eraser.dll and API to 5.8.8
- improved pre-wipe information in the warning dialog (files, folders, and drives count, total data size)
- proper handling of drives dropped on the target (freespace wipe)
- finally fixed freespace wipe for mounted network drives
- accept alternate commandline option formats: opt, /opt, -opt, --opt
- added /recycle commandline option
- accepts files, folders, and drives on the commandline to initiate GUI-less wipe and close
- EraserDrop is PApps aware (looks for empty 'papps' file in the EXE directory) and will read its configuration from the standard PApps settings directory, which means...
- launcher is not required to remain running to move config.ini around anymore
- decided not to UPX or mpress pack the EXE to hopefully avoid some false positives (you can do this later on your own if you wish)
I know I've been away for a while, so how should I get in touch with John to get the new update published?

Well, not the reception I was hoping for. The link to the update is posted above. If someone wants to publish it, knock yourself out.
I don't use the app myself, but I thought I'd chime in and thank you for updating your project. Most users probably don't come to the forums, so they'll see it once it's released.
Well, it might take a while until I can sort out some false positives from VirusTotal and Jotti. John's already said he won't host it officially until is scans 'clean'. Until then, anyone who wants it can grab it above.
I'm trying something out with my file host so that I don't have to keep serving pass protected zip files. Let me know if you have any download issues please.
Downloads successfully with FirefoxPortable using DownloadThemAll! add-on. The only thing I noticed, is usually when downloading a file, I can see the file size while downloading. From your server, it comes up as unknown. Since, it still downloads, I don't care a bit, but I figured you might want to know (or not).
Anywho, thanks for the great download. Peace...

Thanks for the report. I'm aware of that issue, I'm going to try and fix it today. But you're right, it should still download correctly, just no progress indicator.
Ok, the Content-Length header should be fixed now. Let me know if your download manager is working properly. Thanks!
I downloaded the file again with the same setup. Whatever you did, did the trick. Peace...

I made a small silent update to fix drag and drop when run as a UAC administrator. Let me know if it causes any issues on XP (it shouldn't).
for both this App and the ever useful PortableFileAssociator. Unfortunately I can't update as the link doesn't seem to be working. Could you check? I could do with the UNC path fixes in 5.8.8!
Sorry about that! Thanks for pointing it out, I've fixed the link error.
