I might need to run some jar file, but would need to give it some more parameters to do.
Is there a way to do so with the launcher or how to do it with jportable?

You can use the launcher. Just put the parameters in the command-line arguments section as listed in the manual.
See JabRef Portable and jPDF Tweak Portable for examples of how to do so.
(Obviously, there's more Java apps available to look at, those are two of mine, one's simple, the other's got a bit more complex setup needed)
OK, I tried to read and understand the manual, but someohow it does not bring me much further.
I was hoping to use the jPortable Launcher to somehow run a .jar
It is a program to convert osm maps to garmin format.
It is called mkgmap.jar and I am supposed on PC to run it as follows for example:
java -jar c:\download\mkgmap\mkgmap.jar --gmapsupp mymap.osm
In fact I need to add some more parameters.
The program does not take care abt regsistry at all. On PC I need to set env variable , that means add the position of the java.exe to the path variable before using the mkgmap.jar
When I run the jPortable Launcher, I get a window to select the jar file, well, but then I would need some place to add the parameters before running the jar.
In fact I thought with the jPortable Launcher I can somehow run jar directly.
