Updating From older Portable firefox version to Newer Portable firefox

Hi everybody

The problem is very simple i do not have a local copy or local install of Firefox i use portable Firefox itself to surf the web on my regular NON PORTABLE PC Smile
Now i am using Portable Firefox 2.0
Now let us suppose you update to Portable Firefox 2.0.1
Now how to i update my Portable Firefox 2.0 (Which has not been automatically updated using auto update) to Portable Firefox 2.0.1 with out loosing any of my settings like bookmarks , cookies , history , profiles , extension

Problem again restated is

HOW Update A OLDER COPY OF PORTABLE FIREFOX WITH A NEWER COPY OF PORTABLE FIREFOX WITHOUT LOOSING ANY SETTINGS ?

Which all files should we replace and which all files should we not replace

I CAN NOT RECONFIGURE EVERY TIME YOU PEOPLE UPDATE PORTABLE FIREFOX ( I USE 75 EXTENSION and 10 THEMES THAT WILL INVOLVE A LOT OF CONFIGURATION )

Umm... did you look at the support page?

Did you look at the support page? It's covered right there. You can let it auto-update. Or you can install a new copy of Firefox Portable over an existing one.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks

Thanks You for your reply
I Being lazy overlooked it
but just to reconfirm
I DON"T WANT TO LOOSE MY
1) History
2) Bookmarks
3) Cookies
4) Extensions
5) Plugins

So to even preserver all this i just have to overwrite the updated Firefox Portable with my old Firefox Portable Folder

But won't it obviously replace my older prefrences
for example all my history will be stored in history.dat when i replace the old history.dat with new one history.dat ( which is empty) i will defnitely loose my history ( WHICH I DO WANT TO )
!!

Actually

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Your Firefox Portable folder is located at H:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable for the purposes of this example.
  2. Download FFP and extract to H:\PortableApps
  3. Your settings will remain intact and the app will be updated
