What can be done about an application that works with registry, and working under a limited account? now registry can't be edited in anyway.

The registry can be edited with a limited account, but of course, with limitations. I'm not sure what's locked and what isn't, but John makes his launchers work under limited and guest accounts.

there's an application called "No-IP"
it stores its data in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Vitalwerks\DUC"
it cant be made portable if i cant edit registry in a limited account.
any idea?

are actually using the registry. For example, 7-zip, the launcher writes its settings to HCU\Software\7-zip and deletes them on exit.

As far as I know, with a limited account you're able to edit the registry under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software key but not under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE. I'm not sure but that should be enough for all apps here.
Isn't there a way to create "virtual" registry?
so the application can deal with it as with real registry, so a limited account won't be a problem. Any idea?
what Lapwing did/does. I'll write you up a little tutorial about it tomorrow, but if you find the topic about it on this site you should be able to figure it out.

Not sure what you mean, but I've just tested both apps (No-IP and Lapwing) and they work (= can be run) from a limited XP account.

it's not the problem, the problem is "I CAN'T EDIT HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE UNDER A LIMITED ACCOUNT"

OK, no one is deaf around here, I already got your point.
Your problem is a hard one because you're not supposed to edit "that" registry key from a limited account. Wait to see if Lapwing works for you, otherwise I can't give you further advice.

No-IP itself solved the problem
in a limited account, it automatically writes its keys to HKEY_CURRENT_USER ........
