Digsby Portable Build 92 r30295 Dev Test 4

Application: Digsby
Category: Internet
Description: From the publisher's website:
digsby is a multiprotocol IM client that lets you chat with all your friends on AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, and Jabber with one simple to manage buddy list.

Digsby has been recently released as open-source, and therefore able to be released as a portable app. The portable installer included with Digsby is not compatible with the PortableApps.com platform directly, so this package was made.

Your Digsby Portable tested behind a company's firewall :(

Unfortunatelly the settings cannot be accessed - as I hover over the settings link - it "shimmers" under the mouse pointer and clicking on it does nothing. It seems that Digsby is keeping even those settings on the web so if you are behind a proxy, like in my case, you are unable to access settings that could change the proxy settings. Is there a way to manually change some .ini to direct Digsby to follow IE settings, for instance, or enter the actual proxy settings?

I used Digsby in XP environment some years ago - it worked then, but things have moved on in terms of firewalls it seems. We're now on Win 7 Pro 64bit.

Unfamiliar, but

I have very little experience with proxied environments, so unfortunately I can't test what I was able to find. In Ap\digsby\res there is a file called defaults.yaml which contains a section to add proxy information (starting at line 337). I beleive you should be able to enter your information there and have it work. As for using IE settings, according to the forums and a couple official posts, that's exactly what it's supposed to do automatically so I'm unsure as to why it doesn't work. I hope this helps in some way.
