Writing to folder failed.

I'm getting this error under Windows 7 Pro 64 bit using v24.1.0 ......

"The messages could not be filtered to folder 'Southwark_freecycle.org' because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again."

I've checked the properties and it was set to "read only" so changed that and its changed back - is this a new Windoze "feature"?

No one around? Seems very quiet here!

Still happening despite changing folder properties as above

And I have lots of disc space - 350 GB free out of 500GB - and running with 8GB of RAM

File system?

What file system do you use?
Is it your internal harddrive?

Not the app

Neither Thunderbird nor our launcher will change the write permissions on the folder. So, I'd check what else you have running on that machine that could be messing with it.

Indeed - that is what I was

Indeed - that is what I was asking - I've never seen anything like this in all my time of using T/Bird
