I have loaded the portable apps platform in a folder and shared that folder with the rest of the network. It has read write access permissions but its not loading when I access that shared folder. I am getting error: Invalid Floating point operation. The icon loads in the tray but it wont access the programs. I know it says its cloud usable but i wasn't sure if it was shareable.
Grab the platform beta here: https://portableapps.com/download/beta
I think that fixes the issue with network shares not properly reporting free and used space.

Anything special needed to install it. Does it require installing all the programs i've added to it currently?
You can just upgrade to it. You run the installer for the beta and install it right over your current install (Fun fact: This is just what the updater does when it updates the platform for you). So you'd select to install to the folder that contains the Start.exe app and the PortableApps and Documents folders.

I ran the upgrade to the beta and still get the same error when i try to use that shared folder. Basically I installed it in a folder. Named it PA (For Portable Apps) then shared that folder with the network with full permissions.
Did you map a drive letter to it on the PC you're trying to run it on?

The share folder is named \\kberryman\PA. would it have to added like a drive with a drive letter and such for it to work?
You can map a letter to your drive and it'll work. It's a bug in the platform that tries to pass part of the network name as the platform. It's fixed in our internal build and will be posted in Beta 3 shortly.
