It will be interesting to see what all the fuss is about the Australis UI.

You can turn on multiprocess mode in the nightly build by setting browser.tabs.remote to true in about:config and then restarting Firefox.

John I made that adjustment right after install and the browser would crash at random times. Changed it back and it seems to have stabilized. Therefore I'd recommend not changing browser.tabs.remote, or changing it back to default if you start getting random crashes.

It worked here when I tried it, but it's going to have issues and your install is a different version of mine since it's a nightly build. Remember, nightly builds will have something working one night but broken the next. It's the joys of using pre-alpha software (read: it might randomly catch fire).

You can run the internal updater. Or just reinstall (the equivalent of downloading an updater version and installing). We don't release a new package for every single evening. Note that it may be out of date at the moment due to the reasons listed in the site header banner.

Thanks for that note. I personally have found the updater to not pick up updates for Nightly. But as the installer is an online one (as in, it downloads the latest version from Mozilla), it should work.

I would say releasing updates for nightly at each version change (like update from Alpha 1 Pre to Alpha 2 Pre) would be the most ideal.

They've been updated to 28/29, so the downloads are working again.

Does the Nightly Build overwrite the Firefox Portable?

I have the Stable, Beta, Aurora, and Legacy (3.6) installed in the PortableApps Launcher. And when I go to install the Nightly build, it asks me to Close the Current Firefox, which is Stable.

each install is independent, but the installer just checks to see if Firefox.exe is running, not from where.
