ZoneAlarm firewall does not like Stickies Portable

When I start my Potable app platform, I have Stickies Portable start automatically. Never use to have a problem when I used in the library, but at home, ZoneAlarm has a bit of a hissy and says:

stickies 7.1e is atempting to monitor user activities on the computer. if allowed it may try to track or log keystrokes (user input), mouse movements/clicks, web sites visited, and other behaviors.

I click on the link to get more info and it opens in a browser and says:

What should I do?

If Stickies 7.1e needs to monitor your system to observe what events are occurring and you trust this program, then give it permission. If you do not trust this program or the program
does not need to monitor your system then deny it. If you are unsure, you can always deny access and run the program again, if it is required.

Why?

Stickies 7.1e is potentially malicious. It may be attempting to monitor your system to observe what events are occurring to retrieve information about you or your system.

I just click on deny and everything seems to work OK but I am just a bit curious as to what Stickies wants with these resources.
Could it be the fact that you can share Stickies with people and create a friend list with an email. I have disabled email and network in the settings but still it pops up.
Many Thanks.
Dave.

Not Sure

Personally, I'm not sure, as I don't use Stickies myself. IIRC, Stickies was originally going to be a much more collaborative product so it had networking code for simultaneous shared database access to sticky notes over the network. Perhaps that is setting it off.

If you're worried, you could always give PNotes a try. It's open source, so you can be more sure about what it's doing.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks. I'll have a look at it.
Happy New Year.

Avast!

Something I forgot to mention,my Avast! anti-virus use to give it a suspicious once over as well. The Mcafee AV at the library did not even give it a second glance.
