07 Mar 2014 Sylpheed 3.3.1 (stable) released
http://sylpheed.sraoss.jp/en/news.html
I'll get to it as soon as I can.
Think this is close to release ready in terms of portablization, testing, etc?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I have had absolutely zero feedback on how functional it is under normal usage so I can't recommend it for release. As for portability, in my own testing there don't seem to be any glaring flaws, but others have repeatedly shown that I can miss something obvious.
GTK and or Python included in the PA version?
Edit: Just downloaded have not run yet But I see reg files that I assume are written to registry? Are these removed as I do not see anything like that in the launcher ini file

This release is pretty much a one-for-one of the zip archive version available from the official site, so anything that is included in that is in here, and nothing more. As for the .reg files, those are leftover from the zipped version, and I suppose I should remove them so people don't set mailto: links to the portable version (which I'm pretty sure is their only function normally).
Updated to 3.3.1 Dev Test 1. See release notes for details.

Have been using the current portable apps version,
and all seems to be working fine.
Currently using multiple accounts.
Thank you for giving some feedback, especially with multiple accounts, and thanks for the reminder on the program update. I'll get to the update as soon as I can.
04 Apr 2014 Sylpheed 3.4.1 (stable) released
Sylpheed 3.4.1 has been released.
This release fixes an important bug that would lose mails when local mailbox was inaccessible on POP3 receiving.
All users who are using 3.4 are recommended to upgrade. 3.3.1 does not have this problem.
New Update: Sylpheed 3.4.2 (stable) released
Where to download? I don't see it listed in the Apps directory.
just realized the PA version hasn't been offered yet. Doh!
Updated to 3.5.1 Dev Test 1. See release notes for details.
...just realized that there's an official version of this now. Oops. D:
