File Location Error?

Im using the latest version and Windows 7. I have copied the portable suite to both Program Files and Program Files (86) directories and get this error on trying to launch any of the LibreOffice exe's.

"Libre Office Portable cannot be run from inside c:\program files. This location is for standard local software only. Please use this application from another location."

If I however move the LibreOffice portable folder to my desktop it works as usual?

Meant to be

We no longer allow PortableApps to install to, or run from, the Program Files directories.

For more information please see this thread which explains the issue in more detail.

Thank you for your quick

Thank you for your quick reply. I was unaware of such a thing being implemented. I have many PAF in the Program File directory and all work fine. Oh well. Cheers.

We didn't repackage every app

We didn't repackage every app when this restriction was introduced, it was an organic process that happened as each app required updating, so depending on when you installed or last updated each app will affect whether it complains about being situated in Program Files or not.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think we may have a few remaining apps that won't restrict from Program Files simply because of how long ago the base app was last updated.
