Win.Adware.Downware-419

What's going on? False positive?

According to ClamWin every single [programname]Portable.exe on my system includes a virus named: Win.Adware.Downware-419.

That includes portables developed way back in time exclusivly by/for me.

All setup (paf.exe) files are also "infected"...

Avast does not say anything about viruses though.

Scanned my system with a Clamwin virus definition dated May 7:th and NO viruses where found...

VirusTotal

You can always submit them to VirusTotal to verify that it is an issue with the current ClamWin definitions and you didn't somehow wind up with all your apps infected from an infected PC. ClamAV has issues like this fairly regularly.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

VirusTotal Check

I'm pretty confident in my system but when these things happens it WILL mess up my day.

The only apps "infected" where PortableApps files (using NSIS?) in some way. Don't ask me how.

I didn't know about VirusTotal. A very useful site. Thanx... Smile
After I checked with VirusTotal the result from ALL but ClamWin were OK to Go.

So now I can go on with my life.
Thanx again.
Regards Steff
