TDSSkiller Startup Crash

When I try to run the latest TDSSkiller.Portable, it crashes with

P:\PORTAB~1\PORTAB~1\KASPER~1\App\TDSSKI~1\TDSSKI~1.EXE
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS:1af4 IP:0265 OP:65 63 75 72 69 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Weird thing is that first a CMD-window is opened (with nothing in it) and then that error-window pops up.

I tried already

- to disable all Sandbox / Antivirus / Firewall
- to uninstall / reinstall the app

No luck

I downloaded also the regular version from Karpersky. That one runs without opening a CMD-window and runs without any problems nor any "found problems"

After having run the regular version, I finally tried again the Portable one, same problem.

No Difference

The portable version live downloads the version from Kaspersky as you install the app. There's no difference between the two. Unless it downloaded a corrupt version. You can run it directly in KasperskyTDSSKillerPortable\App\TDSSKiller. Please report your results. Also your operating system and full path.

No Luck

I tried to run it directly : Same error
I tried to run KasperskyTDSSKillerPortable.exe : Same error
Then I tried again an uninstall + re-install : Same error

The weird thing is the command-window that opens, which doesn't happen with the one I downloaded from Karpersky.

I assume the one from Karpersky is sort of self-extracting because it's size is 4.176.736 bytes and the one installed is only 38.586 bytes.

Full path: P:\PortableApps\PortableApps\KasperskyTDSSKillerPortable\App\TDSSKiller\tdsskiller.exe
OS: WinXP SP3+

Blocked

Ah. If it's only 38K, then you are actually being blocked from downloading it via the installer and that's just the HTML page with the block info saved as an EXE. Rename it to .html and open it.
