Development Test 1 (2014-06-16): Initial release
Hi, how did you determine the link to the download "zip" file, as the link on the website is to the "exe" file. The reason I am wandering is I want to create a similar process but for IntelliJ IDEA itself.
The PhpStorm EAP team always uploads their releases as an exe installer, as well as a zip package. Just replace the ".exe" extension of the download link with ".zip" (The official blog post contains the zip link as well now). Unfortunetly that doesnt seem to work for IntelliJ, it seems like you need to package your own zip.

Thank you,
I have found zip release. I do have a question, how to you deal with the program leaving ".WebID" folder and moving it between computers.
While the source of this launcher/installer is released under MIT License, PhpStorm is a commercial product which is distributed under a special license. You can find a copy of that license under App\PhpStorm\license after installation.
You will need to contact the developer, if you are developer then You need to contact John T Haller of PortableApps as generally this site only supports FOSS software as well as some Freeware

Hi,
I am not the developer, and IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition is released under Apache 2 license. So, I think there no problems in using it.
I'm not the developer, just a happy customer. And I'm not packaging the software with the installer, it just downloads the freely available zipfile.
I'm also a big fan of FOSS and the PortableApps platform in special. All its components are released under GPL. I also released the generated installer under a GPL compatible license and published it's source code; that's what the GPL requires me, nothing more.
The downloaded PhpStorm package comes with a valid 30-day license, so i'm not conflicting any licenses here.
However, I fully understand that this platform preferably supports FOSS software and it's not appreciated to use it to launch propretary software. I just found it very convenient to carry my most favourite piece of software on my PortableApps drive, so I followed the Open Source spirit and created the installer to share it with other people who may find it useful. I'm not gonna expect that release to be shown on the main app directory, it's just a way to publish my work. You are free to remove the post if this really conflicts with the spirit of this page, but again, i'm not breaking any rules in terms of licenses here.
I will still ask the developer for permission if that helps a bit.

vf2nsr, this is an online installer so no proprietary software has been bundled.
Redfox, to save confusion you should state that this is an online installer in the original post.
Thanks for clearing that up, updated description and title.

This is an online installer for a commercial program. DO they have the permission of the author? AS If it is not Is Portable apps allowed to be used for commercial software? Do not presume to know what my questions are or are not.
