WhoDat Failing Lookups

Seems as of late I am constantly getting time outs when I run app. Not sure how long been doing so or if related to my recent upgrade to Win 8.1? anyone else having same issue? also seems none of the links on sourceforge fr it are working. I sit just em or has something canged?

No Longer Functional

It would seem it's simply no longer functional. The whois server it accesses probably no longer allows direct queries.

Ok thanks guess I do it the manual way Sad Appreciate the response John Heck I even went as far as to look over source code in case we could modify it to new place lol

I did the same. I think it's hitting whois.arin.net and that's not giving the results it used to. We could find something similar and recompile. It's just C++ and (I think) Qt

been a long time

since I toyed in C++ like back in 90's on my TU99/4A not sure if we could use anything out of here http://projects.arin.net/ or not to make/create/modify anything John. I know for one I would love to see something like Whodat up again. Just out of curiousity were many downloads of it? I know it is sort of a niche app
